Smt Veena Girish Jigajinni

Smt Veena Girish Jigajinni is a fashion designer, educator, and women empowerment advocate who has dedicated over a decade to transforming lives through skill-based fashion education in North Karnataka.

Born and raised in Belagavi, she identified a critical gap in the region — thousands of women wanted to learn fashion design and tailoring, but affordable, practical training was simply not available. Most institutes focused on theory and charged fees that were out of reach for the average family.

In response, she founded Anjan Institute of Fashion Design (also known as Anjan Skill Centre) with a revolutionary approach: 100% practical learning, affordable fees with EMI options, and a unique "Earn While You Learn" model that no other institute in the region offers.

Three Initiatives, One Mission

Under her leadership, three powerful organisations work together as an integrated ecosystem:

Empower.", the institute has attracted students from across North Karnataka (Belagavi, Dharwad, Hubli, Gadag, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Haveri), South Maharashtra (Kolhapur, Sangli), and Goa — establishing itself as a growing regional hub for fashion education.

Her Vision

Smt Veena believes that every woman deserves the opportunity to become financially independent through skills. Her approach is simple but powerful — teach practical skills that can be monetised immediately, provide real earning opportunities during training, and build the confidence needed to start a business or career.

Her long-term vision is to make Anjan Institute the most impactful fashion design training centre in all of North Karnataka — producing not just skilled professionals, but empowered women who drive the regional fashion economy.
